Bridging the gap between financial technology and software engineering. Currently driving API integration & UAT at HNB while studying Information Technology at University of Moratuwa.
01 — About
I'm a Bank Associate at Hatton National Bank PLC in Sri Lanka, working across transaction banking, API integration, and client-facing technical projects. My day-to-day involves leading UAT for mission-critical payment API hubs and building tools that make banking smoother.
In parallel, I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Information Technology at the University of Moratuwa — blending rigorous academic study with hands-on professional work in one of Sri Lanka's largest banks.
My curiosity leans toward cybersecurity and software engineering — I enjoy going beyond the surface to understand how systems actually work, and where they might break.
02 — Experience
Leading UAT for the FinnAxia API Hub project by Nucleus Software — a go-live-critical engagement covering 8 payment APIs. Responsibilities include OAuth 2.0 token flow verification, defect documentation, and coordinating with vendors on compliance issues. Also manage client-facing technical projects and H2H integration presentations.
Pursuing BIT with a focus on software engineering fundamentals, database management, computer architecture, and information systems. Active coursework includes a C# Inventory Management System (Windows Forms + SQLite), DBMS design, and ICT project modules.
03 — Projects
End-to-end UAT for 8 payment APIs connecting ERP systems to HNB's core banking via Nucleus Software's FinnAxia. Includes OAuth 2.0 flow, throttle policy testing, and compliance defect tracking (DEF-001).
